The department is endowed with highly qualified and experienced faculty with immense core competencies most of whom have obtained their Doctoral degrees from eminent institutions in India like Central Universities, NITs and renowned Universities along with Academia- Industry bridge carrier funded faculty by National Research Development Corporation, an enterprise under Department of Science and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre sponsored by National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development implemented by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. With respect to Patents which is the need of the hour, our faculty has got patents for their socio-economic responsible inventions like Smart Farm Fence through AI & IOT in Agriculture Sector, Advanced portable refrigerator chillier and High Capacity Disinfectant Spraying machine with auto retractable hose heel for use in large public spaces during Covid-19 which were funded under the aegis of exemplary research organizations like NRDC, NSTEDB, NEWGEN IEDC etc The department is also well equipped with modern laboratories. In addition, there are several industries supported labs in the department, which are established with help and support from core engineering skill development institutions like APSSDC, Siemens and Dassault Systems. The industry related labs strive to improve the employability of the students in core companies.

At present, 4 PhD holder having 12 years of teaching, research and administrative as well as inter disciplinary skill experience along with 7 number of faculty who are pursuing their PhD in core domains of Bio Diesel & Ionic Liquids, Robotics, Engineering Design, Composite Materials and Alternative Fuels in addition to 2 number of faculty are having patent rights is our present core scenario which are the driving force in making our client the future entrepreneur with civic sensibilities and socially responsible.

A special white feather to our sensible department has is that our students P Sai Harish (18ME1A0362) has become an entrepreneur by starting a new start-up company “STARK TECHNOLOGIES” which manufactures Chemical Spraying Drones for Habitant Pond trashes towards mosquito reduction with registration number 37IKVPS8932LIZQ under mentorship of our faculty as well as under the aegis of department research committee and Co – Ordinator, G. Chiranjeevi (18ME1A0324) ) has become an entrepreneur by starting a new start-up Chiru Car Accessories which deals with the automobile accessories and spare parts and K. Anand Venkata Kumar (18ME1A0327) has become an entrepreneur by starting a new start-up company Kagn Road side Assistance Private Limited.

Using E-Resources to reach every student

The Mechanical Engineering department runs an exclusive department Library to the benefit of students In addition to the Books available from central library students can also access this unit for unique collection of books & magazines. Further we have exclusive E-Resource facility for students of their interested areas of research and academic domain. The Mechanical department providing E-notes, PPTs and Video lectures for the concern subjects with respect to the syllabus framed by the university which will give easy access of knowledge to the students . The E-Resource facility which is available are as under:
